Yeap that's what we call it... Family Fun Day. Here we are on our last Family Fun Day. We spent the day at the river market. There is so much to see, art, river view, sidewalk shops, wildlife center, parks, restaurants, two museums, riverboats and even a presidential library. Its really a neat place to be... Other Family Fun Days usually consist of our family experiencing the awesome free or inexpensive adventures that we can find. Some of these adventures would be farms, book stores, gallery's, farmers markets, picnics, hiking, educational centers, minor road trips, bowling, the $ movies, $5 pizza night, ice cream, fishing, and as we spent this last day museums, river walks, parks and more. Every once in a while we will spend too much money on entertainment but I have to say its usually not near as fun... Here's to you finding free adventures ...

I love Family Fun days!! And AMEN to having the most fun with a little bit of money. Hikes are always more refreshing, memorable, and renewing than, say, a movie and dinner out.
I do wish we lived near galleries and/or a market, though. I've lived on both the east and west coast before. Charleston, SC had the most amazing walk-through city market. And Monterey, CA had art galleries that you could walk through for hours on end. Still, we live in a beautiful and natural location now.

I love your blog header! Family Fun Day is an awesome idea! We do a family night every Monday night. It's usually songs, a short spiritual message, and a dessert. It's great to get out and do something bigger as a family as well, though, and we need to do that soon!
