.Sweet Pea is my little helper. I have always been amazed by the dedication and effort a young child puts into his or her challenges. I can still still hear my grandmother " Catherine Anne, if only I could have a small piece of your energy". Well grandma, I now understand fully. While sharing chores with Sweet Pea that thought rolls through my mind often. Then I think of you grandma and I smile.
...Other thoughts rolling through have me thinking "Catherine, just look at her. Take time to remember this and place this memory in your heart. One day she will not be so little. She will not have that same carefree bounce to her step and that childhood giggle to her laugh. She will no longer look up at you with her smiling eyes saying you da mommy and I da baby"....
...Although I am looking forward to experiencing every stage this sweet girl has ahead, the thought of today leaving makes my heart hurt. Until then I will be thanking the Lord for my adorable helper. I will enjoy watching her as she explores her world with her wide trusting carefree eyes, letting out a giggle and a you da momma and I da baby~ As I take this in, my heart will smile. I love you more than you know my beautiful Sweet Pea~

She is so sweet! She reminds me of my own baby brother :)
What a sweet little helper you have there! And your words--so tender and true! My twins are just about to turn 2--oh how I love this age and will be sad when it's gone.
I also love the "just off the line" photo.
That is SO cute her helping you with the wash. SO, so, so sweet.
That quote is one of my favorites, by the way. :)
Ooooh, I'm telling you friend, this is the bittersweet part of mothering that stinks! I live to be part of who my children are growing to become, but I'm just not feeling okay with them growing up...it's been great to catch up with your sweet family.
XOXO~
Kathy
Great pictures, and you're right this is what it's all about. I have 2 girls of my own and we love doing activities together and enjoying the simple things in life. Have a great weekend!
Blessings, Jill
What a sweet and TRUE post. Thanks for the reminder of how precious this time is. I love the pictures, she is so sweet helping her mommy.
ok that is not the sweeetest thing ever. I am in love with that little girl and her willingness to help.. I love her funky boots :)
So great that you allow her to help. I always ave to tell myself to slow down and let Alex help whenever she wants and is willing. Sometimes as parents we just want to get the dishes or laundry done so fast we forget to ask our little ones to help.
Love that you captured this moment!
simple sweetness.
Thank you all so much!
I love her too...I love to hear you talk about your sweet babies..you can see how much you love them in the way you talk about them.
Love you
I love you too and they love their Aunt Liz aswell~
so so sweet! The same thoughts pass through my mind. I almost can't bear to let one stage pass, in order to see the next. Children are miracles, every single day.
These pictures might be the sweetest I've seen in a while. And the words are pretty good too. I'm so glad you are cherishing these moments...
Thank you both so much~
She is adorable. So sweet.
Your pictures are so timelessly sweet! All my boys have let go of my hands now - from the oldest who grew up and married to the youngest who is almost 10- and, well, just doesn't hold hands anymore. The hardest part of holding their hearts is when, in struggling to become independent, they become a little heartless, a little thoughtless, a little heart-breaking. But then, that is what unconditional love is all about. And sweet memories like these sustain us:)
Oh the chills I have thinking of the day. I tell myslef this is what God planned so it must be ok. My heart cant hurt in the way I feel it will, or can it... Even though the unknown is ok, I will take this time and later relive them in my thoughts and heart~
Your pictures say so very much. Every time, on every post. Stunning.
Dear dear sweet pea :) You know, I just savored a long moment of hanging wash with Bear a few days back and it was wonderful :)
Sweet Pea says she wishes her and Bear lived closer so they could have a play date hanging the wash~
TJ, So happy to hear you savoring tie with your little bear, Blessings Catherine
