Braids

Most mornings we have cuddle time in my bed before we all get up and start the day. I always enjoy this. We talk about our dreams and just visit. Sunshine mentioned that she wanted to practice braiding. What better way than allowing her to add braids all over my head.
She thought my hair was so silly that she too wanted braids in her and Sweet Peas hair. We all three walked around the house with our braids this day.
I still remember learning how to braid when I was a little girl. I learned on a doll at my grandmothers house. I'm thankful to share this time with them as they make memories they will carry on forever.
I couldn't share these photos below without telling you the story behind them. Sweet pea has been afraid of any fly that has flown into the house now that spring is here. All of a sudden I hear
"Dare he iiissss Daddy" Dare he iiissss!!! Get him daddy!!!"
As I walk into the living room this is what I see. The girls were huddled up yelling "there is the fly daddy. Kill him!!! Get him!!! "Dads are so cool right! The super hero fly killer to the rescue~

Catherine,

These pictures are adorable and even now our kids love braiding hair. Now they want complex hair styles that I am having to learn how to master. Keeping my fingers crossed that I should have some pictures up soon.

Haha! The little braids are cute!

The pictures of the fly killer, and his audience are priceless! With the warm weather here now, we will begin an endless battle against the flies in our house. Unfortunately, it will be all Summer long too! Oh well, the price of living on a farm with animals!

Have an awesome day!
Josh

Nothing like mother-daughter bonding time over hair braiding. Almost like a right of passage, huh?

Yeah for Daddy's that save the day. ;-)

Having 4 boys, i wouldn't even know how to do anything with a little girls hair! But it looks like you had lots of fun together :-)

learning how to braid was as much a rite of passage for me as was learning to ride my bike and my first kiss!
