I have to say, this really help bolster my confidence for eventually homeschooling my boys. They are now 2.5yrs and 1yr old respectively, and we do a lot of reading and aarts & crafts, but I haven't really taught them in a more structured manner.
There aren't a lot of resources here in Malaysia for homeschoolers, but the small community of HSers are very passionate and helpful. I hope we can adopt this practice for our family!
Btw, do you have a set weekly schedule for HS? For example, do you have HS Mon-Fri and then weekends off? I am away from the kids two days a week - one day for work, another day for my grad school classes - and I wonder how to work around that. Sorry for the abundance of questions~! This single post just made me 50x more sure of wanting to HS my kids!
this is wonderful. you really have such a lovely homeschool. right now i am really struggling with our school.things are getting a little stale...the weather is making it hard to keep them in for it...i am not feeling like i am covering everything i need to. i enjoyed reading what you all are up to. you have a great schedule.

What memories you and the children are making. So special!
Oh this was so much fun to read~Thanks for sharing!
Wow!! I am simply blown away by all the teaching and learning that is going on in your house!! Way to go!!! : ) Three kids at three different levels is not easy to manage, and the stuff you're doing with them looks like so much fun too!
When do you do your planning/getting prep work ready?
Nice job Catherine, give yourself a pat on your back! And tell your kids a teacher from MN is impressed : )
Beautiful journey! Thank you for sharing!
Blessings, andrea
Catherine,
You learn so much more when you home school your kids because you can see subjects that they really excel at and ones that require perhaps a little bit more time to master than perhaps a public school has time to teach. This is the very reason we have homeschooled our kids!
Love and Hugs ~ Kat
Catherine~
