Lazy days & tents with sheets

Lazy days. We all need them. With summer break upon us the lazy days are in full swing. Last week, we spent the day walking around in our comfortable clothes surrounded by a messy house.
As we were dancing to our own beat this day, I began to hear little voices. Voices of plans and ideas. Along with the kitchen chairs moving across the floor.
Peeking around the corner I saw a beautiful tent being made with bed sheets and chairs. I so enjoyed listening to each of their ideas. After the tent was up, they filled the floor with blankets and pillows.
Giggling under the tent, I then hear " momma come see our tent!!!" Walking in with a face of surprise and excitement. They were so proud of what they had accomplished. As the day moved on I did finally do some dishes and fold a few clothes, but the tent stayed up with laughs, reading and coloring for most of the day. Thanking the Lord for Childhood and all the treasures that go along with it.

Catherine,

This brings back so many memories of my own childhood. I loved making both indoor and outdoor tents.

Ahhh! I'd forgotten about making tents indoors. Will have to pull that out of my bag of tricks for the kids on a rainy day. Thanks for checking out my blog, I'm glad to have found yours!

Still I remember the good old tent days vividly. How many I have build as a kid I can't recal. But they were the best days of my childhood.
Thanks for remembering me.
