Each year the kids enter an animal in the libraries summer pet show. Throughout the years we have shown up with stuffed animals, photographs of animals, puppies and this year our goat Stormie. Stormie was born in an ice storm about seven months ago. This is how she got her name.
Out of fifty entries we were number thirty five. The kids and a family friend presented Stormie to the show. They each told something about her from the kind of goat she is all the way to the story of how she got her name. After the votes were in we were excitedly surprised to hear number 35 and another had won. Our goat Stormie and a pony that belonged to a little girl. They said this is the first year the show had two winners.
Just showing your pet is the fun but winning along with the kids Aunt Bre coming to watch made this year even more exciting. The following week there was Stormie and the kids holding their trophy on the front page of the paper~ Something fun to remember form the Summer of 2010~
