On this day we drove into {The Big CITY}!
I know the city . It's funny. We sound like hillbillies on our way into town. In some ways this may be true. We do live in a small community about forty minutes away from a well known city. Most of my extended family is from this area. As it was also my childhood home. With this, {The CITY} didn't wow me in the sense that it wows my children. It was just home. In parts of my heart it still is. Our family makes this trip often. It's nice to have city adventure at arms reach. As well as the ability to return home where the stars shine bright.
So what was the reason for this trip into the city??? Sometimes it's the bookstore, the river walk, parks, museums or the zoo. Not this day. This adventure into the city was to purchase a lens.
Yes, a lens I love. Thanking the Lord for days as this.

How much fun! When we moved south to DFW, the kids were always like WOW! The City! You know, after being here almost four years, they still are that way.
Glad you got your new glass! They are so expensive, aren't they? But, so worth the investment! Enjoy!
the wide-eyed excitement in children is awesome! Why does it seem to lessen as we get older? That is sad I think. :) Maybe that is one of the reasons why Jesus said that we should be as little children. So that we remain in awe of Him and all that He is!
