Out and About with Pie~

Last week the kids and I bundled up and went out for the day. We walked through specialty shops, stopped for pie and took on the huge grocery shopping trip.
I shop for two weeks and by the time we check out our buggy is packed full.
This time I was also buying a new trash can, Sweet Pea thought it was hilarious to ride around in.

I am also working on a list of foods I can cook in a bulk, so we can freeze them and easily pull them out for dinner.
I would love to hear what you are cooking in a bulk, I think my family is tired of spaghetti and beef stew.
Blessings, Catherine

mmm beef stew is a favorite of ours too.

These days I'm trying to cut my food budget even more. It's always an exciting challenge isn't it?

I freeze almost everything I make. our most favorite is pork chops and potatoes. I cut a pork loin into chops and boil them. Add this along with some cooked potatoes to a casserol dish and smother it with tomoato soup, then bake at 350 for 30 min. its great to make and freeze. mostly because a pork loin will make at least two meals for our family.

I don't cook in bulk anymore, so I can't help you there. But, it doesn't sound like a marvelous day despite the grocery shopping part of it...
