I had planned to stay home and wash laundry all day. After a week of illness, the laundry was taking over!!!
Our realtor called this morning with news of someone wanting to come look at our place in the next couple of hours.
(Dut,dut, duuuuuuh! Can you hear the sounds of panic?)
Thankful thankful, we are thankful that someone wanted to come look at the homestead.
I just had a mess on my hands.
The whole family started running around in circles cleaning, stuffing and wait.....
Why is my washer not working?
(((ALLEN))), Why is the washer not working?
After looking at it my handyman confirms the motor has gone out.
(sigh)
Now we are not only cleaning and stuffing, we are also bagging the dirty clothes to go to the laundromat. Oh and the wet towels I was trying to wash, now that was a heavy bag.
Well, we got out of the driveway just in time for the realtor to get here. We were all hungry and half of us were wearing clothes that could easily be mistaken for pajamas.
After eating lunch Sweet Pea and I picked up our change for the wash, while Allen, Sunshine and Little Man tried to take a few things to the dump.
Not too long after we split Allen called, the truck would not start.
For some reason, nothing in me felt panic. I guess after a storm of a year with countless "oh no's" you become numb to the panic and know the Lord will figure it out somehow.

I prayed and I called Allen back. We talked about a few things it could be and guess what? It started up. That is when I started our adventure at the Laundromat.
Laundromat Highlights
- I do not think I have ever thought about the word Laundromat, the O is funny to me.
- All of my "laundro" was completed at once.
- I spent big bucks there. Being a Laundromat owner is a great idea. Who knew!?
- The washers were small.
- The dryers were big and hot, I think I may enjoy having a dryer like this in my own house.
- The kids had a blast climbing on the folding tables, running around like children that have no manners with dirty feet and candy faces. Tents were made of sheets, laughter enjoyed, visits fulfilled, songs were sang and family time was spent.
Thanking the Lord for
our Blessed Adventures and today for our Blessed Laundromat Adventures, that is.

We used to have to go to the LaundrOmat...for several months actually. It does cost money, but I actually enjoyed getting everything done ALL AT ONCE! It was a good feeling. Your laundromat is nicer than ours. :)
I used to hate the lanaudrOmat. But there is something to having everything done at the same time...
Sorry yours went out. :(
Such a joy to splash around with you today. Many fond memories of laundry mats in many different nations.
And the good news, is that stale toast can only get better. I will be posting ideas and asking for friends to share theirs as well so we all can create true treasure times.
Be blessed bunches,
Sarah
A dryer like that and several washers. Wouldn't that be great to get several loads of laundry done at the same time. Well, it looks like fun was to be had for all despite the inconvenience.
