Summer days and Friendship...

The day started with us off to our towns summer program at the local library. Each wednesday throughout the summer months the library puts on a children's activity. Our kids love going. Today they all painted with fly swatters. It turned out really neat. I enjoyed watching each child use their own creativity. L Claire was a big fan of it. We had to watch her and make sure she didn't paint on someones picture. While at story hour we ran into some friends of ours that have gone to church with us for years and also are apart of our home school group. As story hr came to a close we all decided it might be nice to spend the rest of the afternoon together. The kids had a great time playing together as did us moms. Its nice when not only are your kids friends but so are the moms. We talked today on how wonderful it is to have family friends with the same morals, values and even discipline. We also talked about the impact of having childhood friends were to us as children and how blessed we are our children get to experience this too.

L Claire has really taken to my friend Paula. She enjoys hugging her and sitting in her lap.
