First Day Of School! We now have a 3rd grader and a kindergartner. School started Monday Aug 10th. The night before Grandma and Grandpa brought a surprise party to the kids and a cake to A with this being her Big First Day! They loved it and were very surprised. I was thankful. With us homeschooling I worried some about her not getting that special experience of her Big First Day.
I knew she could have it, I just had to figure out what to do. The morning of we got up and dressed then off to eat our brain food as my mother has called it for as long as I can remember. "Catherine you have to eat this, its your brain food for the rest of the day.' So what am I now telling my kids. Yeap the same thing. I had special cards for each of them and a ribbon for A to wear the whole day. After home school We dropped by the library so the kids could tell the librarians about their first day.
Remember theses are the sweet women we have known for years now with story hour. This week has gone really good. I wondered how I would make it teaching two with a toddler
but we did it and even did it with few distractions. I can now breath! Ahhh~ Its working out great!

The first day of school pictures evoked wonderful memories for me. I could almost smell the chalk and new books. They are so blessed and so are you. Have a good school year. I can hardly wait to see how it unfolds. Love, Grandma Berg
