That is a precious picture of you and your children! I can totally relate to that- we get on the couch everyday for story time.
We love the Betsy & Billy books by Caroline Haywood. Right now we are reading Henry and Ribsy by Beverly Cleary- my 8 and 6 year old boys giggle and laugh the whole time I am reading that one!
Some of our favorite picture book authors are: Eric Carle, Lois Ehlert & Lucy Cousins (Maisy).

Have you read the Shirley Hughes books? She is an author from the UK and her illustrations are delightful. I love the nursery stories, especially "Giving" and "Bouncing." I think these are treasures! I also recommend Sandra Horning's "The Giant Hug." My 3 year-old loves these and I love reading them!
