The Calf Roper and The Butterfly~ ( Update on Allen as well)

The Calf Roper~ After posting the Tiny Flower yesterday I decided to post photos of our calf roper and butterfly as well. Little man has been some sort of cowboy 6 out of 8 Halloweens. He just loves being a cowboy so why not let him. I have to say he makes a cute one. The rope he has in these photos is pretty special. His Uncle Gus sent him this rope by mail. He sent it saying it came from a real cowboy friend of his. Little man has thought this is one of the coolest things ever. Yes he even said "Mom smell it, it smells like a cow!" Thanks Uncle Gus for this one of a kind gift to Little Man!
The Butterfly~ Sunshine girl first wanted to be a princess. No big surprise to me shes a little princess herself but the best kind shes a princess that you will find climbing trees. I had a few ideas for her costume but nothing in the works. Thankfully because on morning she walked in saying "Mommy I want to fly like a butterfly. She then jumped off the chair laughing. I said whooo Sunshine what a great costume idea. She loved it and couldn't wait to make her costume. I'm going to say we got pretty lucky on this dress. It was a dress-up item I picked up for a few dollars at our local secondary shop earlier this year. I don't believe it was made to be a butterfly dress but after making wings and tentacles it turned out great! She has been jumping and flying off everything!
So there it is! This Halloween we will be having a Calf Roper, A Butterfly and A Flower child~
I wanted to also give you all an update on Allen. Yesterday was his worst day when it comes to pain. Changing the bandage has been painful due to the wrap sticking to his open flesh. I hate this for him. Today I gave him his pain med about 15 min or so before dressing his wounds. This did help some. He does seem to be getting a little gloomy being cooped up on pain meds. So we all took a family walk down the road today. It was such a nice crisp evening. There is nothing better then getting out and enjoying the fresh air. Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayer during his recovery~

Hi there, your little ones look lovely. And tell Allen to bite his teeth because yes this is painfull, very very. And there ain't anything you can do to help him. That's the sad part. Didn't they gave him this soft green creme to put between the bandages before you put them on? I'll be thinking of you lots Allen. Seems we're kind of ...well what shall I say mates here in this one. I'm sending out my thoughts and many prayers to you Allen. And you be strong there Catherineanne. The kids and your hubby need you the most now. But you're doing a swell job here. Hugs for now Dagmar

Great pictures! I love the butterfly costume, she looks so happy!

I hope your husband gets better soon. How scary and frustrating for him and you. Glad you all got to get out and enjoy a nice walk, hopefully that helped his spirits a bit.

I have a wee "butterfly-princess" of my own. Sometimes we also call her our "fairy kitten", and our "cupcake mermaid" because it is extremely enjoyable to combine girly-adjectives like that<3

Especially after three boys:)

...I am very glad to meet you.....
