As I wake in early hours I enjoy sitting out back in the wooden chair Allen made me, drinking my coffee and gazing at the beautiful field behind our house. During this time I meditate upon my morning prayers
as the crisp autumn air surrounds me.
There are some mornings I am lucky enough to watch the deer leaping past.
Before long my little ones have joined me. We visit about their dreams and plans for the day.
I'm usually gifted with flowers. Oh how I love my flowers! They truly make my day!
Watching the children run, laugh and play
I hold the flowers sipping my coffee knowing there is no place Id rather be.
As I am thanking the Lord for my life just as it is!
After being asked over and over to say good morning to the critters, I agree. Cherishing these mornings!
How I know there will come a day that I do not receive flowers with my coffee.
How I will miss my flowers but most of all I will miss the tiny hands and sweet smiles that picked them for me.
Thank you Lord for my life and the flowers I received today.

That sounds a beautiful way to start the day. Prayer and deer, flowers and serene surroundings. How lovely! xx
What a great post of blessings and thanksgiving!
What a great post. I always enjoy being reminded of the simple joys in life. Sounds like you have it made!
Oh, don't you just love the flowers picked by little ones??? Sounds like a beautiful morning ritual.
What a perfect morning ritual...mine starts with coffee, just not outside...I can only imagine. Sounds perfect.
sounds great! my morning schedule begins by waking up 20 minutes late and herding my cat -i mean my son- to eat his breakfast, get dressed, brush his teeth, and collect his belongings in the remaining 10 minutes before we have to leave! not relaxing!
What a beautiful and peaceful way to celebrate your mornings with the Lord!

Hi Catherine! Thanks for visiting our humble blog...we can all tell that we will be enjoying yours as well. As for the flowers...what can I say, but my daughters will have flowers everywhere, and my sons wives will be lucky-blessed. I still remember the day I realized a bent-stem, hand-picked beauty was better from my son than left in the garden for my neighbors.
Blessings~

Wow...your quiet place sounds wonderful. Coffee, flowers & devotions. doesn't get any better than that.
Love it...love you too:)
