Today will be ending the fall getaway posting. We turned our bad fire memory of Allen burning his hand into a great memory of roasting marshmallows together visiting around the fire on a cool crisp fall night. The sky was clean with the most beautiful bright stars above. Sunshine girl laid on her back for a while watching the stars humming twinkle twinkle little star... The next morning we awoke early. Allen and I set outside drinking our coffee while the kiddos were still sleeping... As we were sitting their enjoying the view Allen spotted a red fox. I had to run a get my camera. He didn't seem too bothered by us. I can say the closer he walked up the hill glancing back towards us I became uncomfortable with him. No too long after this he ran back into the mountains. About this time the kids had awoken saying they were ready for breakfast. After eating we went on a nature walk looking for forest treasures. There is just something really beautiful about standing in the middle of nature. I most enjoyed the natural sounds, how the fall colors in the trees made a reflection upon the water and hearing about the children's charms of rocks, leaves and sticks. I hope they keep these memories with them always I know Allen and I will~
