Bridges and Sunsets

I wanted to share with you a few photographs I shot the other day as we watched the kids play enjoying this big beautiful bridge along with a winters sunset... The deaden grass almost looks like snow... As I watched them it made me think back to being a child full of energy running around feeling as if you are just a tiny speck in a huge world of adventure. I wanted the kids to have their own memories of bridges and sunsets. Why? I guess because I've always loved them~ Actually a few years ago Allen bought me the book Bridges, by Judith Dupre'. I have added a photograph of the book along with the link located in the bottom of this post~

I love bridges, too! I didn't realize how much until I saw all the photos of bridges that I somehow managed to take during my travels. :)

There is something so beautiful about a bridge as a backdrop in a picture. Thanks for sharing yours.

Catherine,

What a great post! I never thought of the romance of those old bridges before until I read through your post and must say, I too, am a lover of bridges! Oh the stories they would tell if they could talk.

Great line on that old bridge.

Isn't it amazing to think of how they have to build bridges to cross water? A work of art indeed!

Love the strength and support in these photos! Bridges are quite amazing considering all they support above and hide beneath!
