Whats new at the homestead~

I heard someone ask the other day why February feels as if its the longest month in the year. I thought to myself how true this statement is. Here we are in the short month and it feels as if it drags on forever. Why? Well you know its cold, everything is dead, we need that sunlight to rejuvenate us and the kids are climbing the walls. Right! Well I'm happy to say we do have a few outdoor projects going on. The green house~ Its up now all it needs is heat and plants. This will be installed in the next few days. Our chickens are still holding up on their end of the deal and we are gathering eggs daily. The goats are making it through the cold days. Allen is working on the tiller, getting ready to break in that hard winter ground. Oh and Little man showed me small hints of green spring making its way back into our life. The hound dog came up about two weeks ago. The kids loved him. Named him Chester. What do I do? He is a sweet dog that thinks we are his family. The bushy black and white dog. Ya know the one that looks like a stray is Gracie Lue our dog. She really needs a cut but will just have to wait for warmer days. We also have three vehicles in the drive now. The van, Allen's work car, and new to us woods truck. Its a little rough but Toyoda last forever so I hear. Allen has big plans fixing up this truck. Ill leave you with a question. What do you think I have been up to by looking at the bottom right photograph?Ill have to show you the outcome later this week.

What a cute new hound dog and I like thinking of spring through this post. :-)

Are you laying stones for some sort of pathway?

I love how real this post is! I didn't know you lived on a farm. How fun! I think I want me some chicken who lay eggs! :) And a hound dog named Chester or a Basset hound named Flash to play with our Chocolate lab Charlie! Blessings,

Oooo...LOVE this post! :) We have a green house here too from the previous owners but it is in bad need of repair...hopefully, next year! For now, I will rely on my BIL's greenhouse and also just start some indoors! What do you plant?

Looks like you are spray painting some frames or something! :)
Blessings!

Don't you just love that spring is just around the corner and all the hope of newness that it brings! I am hoping for a few spring showers that may be headed our way tomorrow.
