We all know that amazing feeling of a spring time thunderstorm moving in our direction.
Before the thunder rumbles and the sprinkles began to fall there are full warm winds blowing through your hair and against your face. You can close your eyes and feel as if you are standing next to the ocean. This is exactly what happened here the other evening. We noticed a rainbow in the distance surrounded by clouds. I found this rather strange seeing a rainbow before the storm. As I stood in my yard enjoying the colors watching the little ones play on their swing set, the winds started to pick up. There it was, the warm spring winds pulling a thunderstorm our way.
Sweet Pea was overly excited by this. She laughed and giggled saying "Mommy my hair go up."
Little Man and Sunshine ran on top of the storm shelter with their arms in the air. As if the wind could just whisk them away. These winds can make you feel light as a feather. I think the horses even felt this as they galloped around with their heads held high. Before long the sprinkles came. They then turned into rumbling thunder along with gusty winds and pouring rain. We all sat inside watching out the window enjoying the gift of a thunderstorm. Simple memories as this are what makes life special. So stop and enjoy the winds.

I do love watching a good thunderstorm from the safety of home. Beautiful pictures too!
Great writing -- I almost felt the winds and rain myself! Great photos too : )
Beautiful weather...love the spring time.
Blessings, andrea
We had some wind yesterday with some lightening and rain, too. Chased us right off the softball field! It was beautiful, though.
Beautiful post and pics - I LOVE this changing weather!
That first shot is just amazing, love it!
Your blog is so cute! :D
I have a quick question to ask you and if you wouldn't mind responding to the question as soon as possible, and commenting your answer on my recent blog post, that would be very helpful!
The question is:
"How many times do bloggers check their email daily?"
So, how many times do you check your email?
The reason why I am asking such a question is because I am working on a statistics project for my college math class. :)
Thanks again, and God bless you and your dear family!
Love and blessings in Christ,

Wow. That's so cool. Especially the odd far off rainbow. Definitely, I think, a warm Spring Thunderstorm is more of a Southern thing. Although sometimes we get warm Thunderstorms in the Summer around here in the Northwest, it seems they are likely to be dry Thunder and accompanied by Forest Fire warnings. I do have fond memories of that type of weather.
Yes, Cathy I think you are right. It is a something from the south~ Thank you for posting:)
Thank you all for your words:)
