All Saints' Day also called All Hallows. It's celebrated on November 1st by parts of western Christianity and on the first Sunday after Pentecost in eastern Christianity. It's celebrated for All Saints known and unknown. Some may ask "Who are the saints and why do we celebrate them?" The word saint comes from the Greek word "hagios" which means “consecrated to God. Saints are people that choose to live their life for God. Listening and obeying the plan he has made for their life. Saints are wonderful holy people, we should want to be more like. You begin to identify with some after learning about their lives. They become special to you and your family. I encourage anyone to learn more about the saints that have done Gods will throughout the ages. Thanking the Lord for Saints today. Beautiful people doing Gods will... Our church held an All Hallows Party last Saturday night. The night was filled with crafts, games, music, roasted hot dogs, chili and church family. The kids even marched around the church yard singing Oh, when the saints..go marching in~ It turned out wonderful! Something I'm so happy to have been apart of.
~Here are a few of our favorite saints~
