Anyday can be Special~ Dinner Outdoors

Do you want to keep dinner personal but feel the need to change things up a bit? Dinner in the backyard is one of our families favorite things to do. There is no need for you to have guest to inspire such a day. Any day can be special! Truthfully I find  more pleasure celebrating dinner with our closet family and friends than I do in a yard full of guest. Here are a few charms that make eating dinner outdoors a special event for our bunch.
Pull out the good stuff. Just because you are outdoors does not mean you have to eat on paper. Dinner enjoyed on our favorite dishes is a reminder that this is indeed a special time.
Appealing to the eye.  When it comes to planning a party we tend to decorate. We decorate creating excitement in air.  I enjoy keeping it simple with fresh flowering weeds and grass as the center piece for our table. As I layer bright vintage table cloths under them.
What's on the menu? The girls and I enjoy preparing one of our families favorite meals. I try to cook indoors in the hopes of keeping the flies at bay. I am prepared with lids on our mason jars and pretty napkins to protect our food just in case a few start to buzz our way.
Other than this we just enjoy one anothers company. As we talk about our day and how fun it is to enjoy dinner outdoors. I never really know where the evening will lead.
Our last family dinner outdoors we enjoyed
A delicious dinner,

Kids running free,

                          beautiful flowering weeds,
daddy's gift of flowers for our hair and
Sunset!
On of the worlds most beautiful sunset rest in our backyard.

Very cute! This looks like fun! We eat outside a lot during the warm months, and I've been contemplating new ways to make it more special. A table cloth and flowers will do nicely!

Your pictures are great. Love the ones of the flowers in y'all's hair! Very cute.

I love it. One of my favorite things to do is to bring the dining table to the living room, move all the furniture, use the good dishes, make pretty food, and put a fire to glowing in the fireplace. :) Perfection.

I love the flowers in your hair. :)

I love it! We enjoy eating outdoors too. We now have the back porch, and it feels so special to be out there enjoying nature together.

What a lovely idea! I need to do this more often....you are right, it makes the time much more special. No clean up in the kitchen is a bonus, too!

After you left a comment on my blog, I wondered just where did this Miss Catherine Anne come from? Of course, looking at the comments we have some bloggy friends in common. ;o)

You're a peach and I look forward to reading more!

And if you want to smile a bit. It's Kristin Ann without the "e".

We also, love to eat outdoors. The weather hasn't allowed it much this spring, but soon we'll be eating outside more!
