What does a girl do when she loves the outdoors, but it's too hot to play?
Here is an idea, Backroads.
Each backroad has it's own little story. An old rugged barn, creeks, pastures, farm houses and untouched wooded land. Land that is filled with our Lords wild life.
It is amazing what I see while exploring the backroards.
It truly sets a peace within me, as it recharges the rule of simplicity we live by.
Thanking the Lord for his gift of nature.
{Need a laugh. If you didn't know, I am surrounded by funny people. The kids and I decided it was a good day to take the long way home. Turning down an old dirt road we noticed a sign posted that said Dead End.
As we pull to the end of this road, we then notice a cemetery. Little Man announces "Wow, they really did mean a DEAD end road when they posted that sign."
So, I am here thanking the Lord for the laugh in our life.)

We love backroads too. That is one of our favorite things to do in summer, is drive till we find a place where no one else is and just enjoy the amzing gift of God's earth!

Laughing at Little Man's comment. I love that barbed wire shot! Great composition. We have lots of backroads around us, too, and they're so much fun to explore! Just be careful if you're out at dusk; not sure how bad deer are near you, but around here, they seem to think it's entertaining to run into cars.
