When it is too Hot for Swimming.

It's HOT outside. The kids need something to do. Something creative and fun.
Kitchen tents just may be your answer. Sheets + blankets + Pillows + Table/ chairs + Team work + Creativity + Laughter + Imaginations soring = Indoor FUN for the kids on a HOT summer day.
 What about you?
What indoor fun ideas do you have for those summer days it is even too hot for swimming?

sooooo cute! We did tents today, too. I nailed ribbons from one end of the wall to the other, and we hung sheets across. That kept them happy until I took 6 little ones to the creek.
Man, it IS hot. When I went by the bank earlier, it said 107. ugh.
I love your pictures!

Homemade tents are one of my favorite things! They're great for getting kids to settle down on hyper nights, too. We've used the tent idea as a transition place before bedtime. :)

It's been hot here, too. Trin and Gabe went "swimming" in the bathtub with their suits on (we used cold water, which I later used to water my plants) today. Also, we squeezed homemade juice and poured it into ice cube trays for all-natural popsicles. And we've been reading LOTS of stories.

You got some great pictures! Love that one of your not-so-little-man... He looks SO into his book!
