I thank God for my Sunshine today...

                                                                    We went all out.

We did.

Sunshine had her first ever friend birthday party this year.

 She asked and I have to say I stressed on it a bit. Of course all within my own thoughts of worry, more to-dos and spending. The idea of creating here at home cured my worry. It also welcomed giddy thoughts of pulling it together and making it happen. The decor for this party became summer projects and craft time. From yellow icing to yellow sun cupcake toppers, it was all fun.

That was just the decor.  The party was also a great time. With only a handful of church and home school friends everything was laid back and nice. The girls enjoyed arts/crafts, dress-up and nail art.

Sunshine saw her friends and I saw my mommy friends. It was really a good *GIRLS* night for all of us. Well almost an ALL girls night. Allen decided to play ball with Little Man and a few other guys until time for cake and pizza. It is just not the same without them.
Even with the early stress and worry I remember looking at her sweet smile and saying "now it is all worth it." 
and it was... 

 

The following morning was actual her birthday.
 She woke to a gift from us and shape cakes. This day we called them eightcakes. Pancakes in the shape of an eight. This was all Little Man and daddys doings. They did a great job and I would say it was one of her favorite moments of the weekend. The little things that mean the most.

The birthday weekend was still not over.  She lastly enjoyed lunch with her extended family after Mass on Sunday. Wow, what a full birthday weekend. Thanking the Lord for you, Sunshine.
