I planned on blogging more as well and then Summer came and I find myself crawling in bed by nine :)
We love Elephant and Piggie as well! I considered the Junie B. books but from what we've listened to on tape she isn't the girl I would "choose" for my 7 year old to look up to so she is reading the Laura Ingalls Wilder books instead, is that the Little House group you mentioned? Thanks for the list of books you are enjoying, I'll be looking into those. Blessings to you! ~Joy

hi catherine,

fun to read your update and the photos of you and sweet pea are just so much fun!! : )

there are parts of junie b that i like but i found myself paraphrasing quite a bit (i don't like using words like 'stupid'), and though some of her behavior is funny it's also not always the smartest choices ..... so i put them aside for now anyways. we LOVE the little house books, stuart little, charlotte's web and the fairy books (jewel fairies, sports fairies, animal fairies ..... lots and lots of choices).

can't wait til you 'spill the beans' : ) i'm super curious now!

Catherine Anne, I love your book selection. I just started reading Dr. Meg Meeker's 10 Habits of Happy Mothers. I loved her other books she has written.

I'll definitely be needing some new and light daily devotionals by the time school starts. Thanks for the suggestions!

Lauren loves the Pigeon books which I written by the same person as the elephant and piggie books. It is too funny, I just wrote a blog post about it last night asking if anyone owns those too? (it posts in the future). Too funny- guess I got my answer. She also likes all the Dr Suess books.

It has been too busy of a summer. I am trying to catch my breathe before a new school year starts again. I only have one child left this year!
