RAIN

~RAINDROPS KEEP FALLING ON MY HEAD
BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN MY EYES WILL SOON BE TURNING RED
CRYINGS NOT FOR ME
'CAUSE I AIN'T GONNA STOP THE RAIN BY COMPLAINING
BECAUSE I'M FREE, NOTHIN'S BOTHERING ME
~It won't be long till happiness steps up to greet me~
On this day, after weeks of hot dry days we were thankful for rain~
We missed the smell, we missed the sound, we missed the wind that blew in the storm...  We missed it all so much that on this day we stopped. We stopped what we were doing and we played in the rain.
Sunshine said "Only the cool moms let us play in the rain."
Little Man said "Only the coolest moms play in the rain with us"

Now looking at these photographs I can not help but hear the lyrics to Rain Drops. These lyrics take me back to a time I was buckled safely in the middle of mom's back seat, while dressed in Catholic school uniform from head to toe.
Just as we were taking off for school each morning I would call to the front for mom to play Rain Drops, and off we would go as we sang
"RAINDROPS KEEP FALLING ON MY HEAD
BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN MY EYES WILL SOON BE TURNING RED
CRYING'S NOT FOR ME
'CAUSE I AIN'T GONNA STOP THE RAIN BY COMPLAINING
BECAUSE I'M FREE, NOTHIN'S BOTHERING ME
~It won't be long till happiness steps up to greet me"

Great pictures! I love playing in the rain... I wish we'd get some here! And now I have that song stuck in my head. :)

"Only the coolest moms play in the rain with us." Love it.

Oh! How we'd love to have that rain. It hasn't in three months. What lovely pictures you have!

These are such beautiful pictures! I love the rain too. I have to say though, it truly is the best when it's warm out because then you can play in it like y'all did. Muddy boy is so handsome! You've got a cute bunch of kids there and I'm glad you got a break from the heat.
