Here are a few photographs from our home school field trip. We took the children on a nature hike up a mountain. Each child had a list of nature items to look for and check off as they came across one. Sunshine girl was really into her list. She was finding many of the items listed and excited about looking for the next. Her tiny purse was full of nature treasures. Even with children ranging from ages 3 months to 12 years it was rather relaxing and peaceful. I had the best time finding the perfect spot to sit back a watch the kids enjoying this beautiful fall day. There was this great creek at the bottom of the mountain as well.
Oh and one of the neatest things happened while breaking at the top of the mountain. Yes it is true we are all a religious group of homeschoolers, but we have never set and prayed together. After many of us mothers were talking about different events going on in our lives and asking for prayer. One of the mothers spoke out and asked us all to pray with her. Each of us went around praying on top of this beautiful mountain while our children ran around enjoying this amazing day...Thank you Lord for gifts as this...

Hi, Catherine! I haven't been on the blog world for a while and I miss my favorite ones like yours. Love the field trip photos! I haven't had the chance to take my son on a homeschool field trip. I'm a bit overwhelmed with all the work he has to do. When do you find the time to go on trips? Am I just giving him too much work? =(
I'll have to break away and give him some time to enjoy being homeschooled. I think I'm just expecting too much. Is this how it is for first-time homeschoolers?
Looks like fun. I can't wait to do something like that with Taylor, maybe next year.
What lovely photos! And what a wonderful opportunity to pray for other moms and their families together like that!
Always love your pics....so amazing you all got to share that moment praying together! Lovely memories.
