We celebrate the Epiphany 12 days after Christmas ( January 6th). As you can see from the photograph above the children are dressed as the three wise men. They each are holding their gifts for Christ. After presenting their gifts they each named something they want to give to Christ this year. Little Man~ More prayer time, Helping others and keeping his room clean Sunshine girl~ Love Sweet pea~ Well we don't really know but she was smiling. So we'll say kindness Father, we thank you for revealing yourself to us in Jesus Christ. We realize that it was not because of our own righteousness, wisdom, strength, or power. It was simply because you loved us, and chose to show us that love in Jesus. We thank you for your love, praise you for your Gift, ask for your continued Presence with us, and bring these gifts in the name of your Son, who has truly revealed your heart. Amen.

thank you for teaching them at this point in their young lives ...
I just found your blog through my daughter's blog, Happy at Home. I love your photography and love of Jesus. I'm a veteran homeschooler of twenty-five years and still going! Great job you're doing bringing up your children in the fear and admonition of the Lord.
Thank you all so much...
That is just beautiful!!!
What a great idea. The kids actually playing the part brings it more to mind.
Since mine are now grown (21 & 23) Chris and I like to do an Epiphany party with a twist. I make a Kings cake with a baby in it and ask everyone to bring 3 white elephant gifts to exchange. I read to original story about the kings cake and what the Epiphany means to us as Catholics, then we eat and exchange gifts. It's fun and a bit odd, but everyone has a good time and remembers the Lord in the process.
Peace,
Dee
I love this:) Love you too!
