What Makes 30 Dirty Toes???

What makes 30 dirty toes?  Garden Time~
A few weeks ago we started our seeds in the green house. Last week the girls discovered some green peeking through. Our sweet neighbor brought the John Deer over and helped break up the ground while Allen went over it with the tiller.
The rest of the afternoon was spent with tiny feet running through the fluffy dirt. I even got in on some of the fun. The dirt feels so good as it moves through your toes. I love this time of year. It's refreshing after spending many weeks indoors. So do you too have garden plans this year? What are you planting?

Catherine,

I can imagine the smell of the freshly cultivated earth, the soft, coolness of the soil on the feet and the hope of what will come when we begin to plant our seeds!

Love it!! Every child in the world should get to experience this.
And, frankly, I'm more than a little jealous. It's sleeting here right now, with a forecast of 6-10 inches of snow. :-( I want some sunny garden weather, too!!!

Love your pictures, as always! You have such a bright and happy blogland home.

That's a lot of dirty piggies! I love that the little one is gardening in her tutu! So cute! We're definitely doing tomatoes, but what else, I'm not sure yet... :)

Oh my goodness! What a fabulous post! Love, love, love the pictures! I'm so very jealous! We plan on starting our seeds in the basement this weekend with a grow light and heat mat. We woke to an inch of snow this first day of spring. I enjoyed living vicariously through your post. :)

Beautiful Family. I just love your blog. This is a weird question but I was wondering how you get your columns so big. My columns are squished for some reason? I love how yours are spaced.

There is so much joy over here! I LOVE dirty toes. I have dirty fingers from planting over here, but have yet to experience the joys of dirty toes. WOOHOO here we come.

Friend, you capture joy so well with the camera. Would you be interested in snapping away with us. I have seen a lack of joyful living in my life and from the sounds of comments on my blog others need the push to joy just as much as me. So, I'm a thinking of starting a joy post where we all can share the challenge and jump in together. Once a week, we can share what we did just for the joy of livin' life, encourage others to get zany and joy filled and spread more joy! Whatdya think"

I got all my cold crops in! And, it snowed here this morning, I hope they had time to germinate. I blogged recently about our garden. I can't wait to sell at the farmers' market.

We are cutting back on our garden this year. I'm not sure what hubby's plans are, but the ground was tilled Saturday. Corn is definitely on the menu. Love the fact she's out there in her tutu!! Thank you so much for stopping by my place and for the sweet comment you left!!

I just planted a couple of starts in my greenhouse as well. And, my husband was out there tilling the garden, although I think the only thing we can plant yet are peas and onions. We live in the garden in the Summer. Not as much as we get a lot of rain, but we live there when the weather is reasonable in the Spring too. Absolutely love warm weather.
