Riverfest 2010

Here is a recap of our Riverfest weekend. I have childhood memories of Riverfest, this is how many years its been going on. Allen and I have only missed two years in the twelve we have been together. Over time it has really grown pulling in leading artist. One ticket covers three days of arts, crafts, face painting, sprinkler fountains, games, advertisement, kids zones, concerts, huge fire work show and more. The kiddos got in free as well. You really cant beat it. The river view is beautiful. Friday night Allen and I went just the two of us. Its our Riverfest date night, we try and enjoy each year. The kids stayed home with my sister in law. We had a great time together and so did the kids with their Aunt Bre. Saturday we went to Mass and then back to Riverfest, this time as a family. The kids are really good about holding hands and sticking right with us in larger crowds. The nice part of it is the play zones and open grass areas. They are spacious and great for free play. During the concert we set out a large neat sheet on top of the hill with the crowd in front of us so we could relax. They loved the music, dancing singing and jumping around. Saturday night Allen lost his button that allows us back in, so we didn't go back in for the final day. The kids hated to miss the fire work show but really we were all wore out ready for a day of rest. Hope you enjoy the photographs. One rule I didn't care for too much is the "no SLR cameras in the gates." This left me using my small handheld Kodak camera. Even though I see some blur, I'm happy to have them.
