As your birthday approaches I'm flooded with a gift of memories. Memories starting with the day we learned our wonderful new of you.
Your daddy and I were so excited we went to wake your sleeping one year old brother to share our excitement.
Daydreaming back to you moving inside my whomb. Wondering who you would look like and who you would be. The first time I saw you in your daddy's arms while his eyes are filled with the happiest of tears. There you were our beautiful little girl with a head full of dark brown hair. Something I will never forget is the moment they placed you in my arms. I said "hello little one, well there you are. Do you know how much I love you."
This is when you cracked open those tiny new eyes looking straight up at me. My heart was melted that day and it continues to melt by your sweet nature, daily.

I can still see you in my christening gown only two weeks old, receiving your first sacrament. The Sacrament of Baptism.
The following years were filled with many first. Your first bath, first smile, the first time we took you to the park and you napped on the blanket with mommy under a tree. The first time you ate mommy's homemade baby food and finally slept through the night. Your first time to the pumpkin patch and at 15 months your first step. After that first step we have been running ever since.
You are a child of adventure keeping us on our toes. Cracking two dozen eggs while dressed in a tutu, painting your nails along with our floors, cutting your hair and so much more. I have laughed and laughed. Oh, the stories I will share with your children.

Moving a few years into your life I can see your first day of ball along with the day you knew ball was not for you. Your first day of dance and your first day of school. Today you spend your time mothering your brother and sister, visiting with mommy, helping me cook and even folding clothes.
Enjoying dressing up just as you are climbing trees. You are hilarious making us laugh much of the time. You are daddys girl and you run to him as soon as he gets home from work. Next you go about telling him the events of the day. Along with this you are much like your daddy when it comes to your emotions. You hide them as they make you feel funny. Going to a corner to cry. There I am on my hands and knees calling your name to come out and talk. Mommy can make things better. You say your prayers and talk of the Lord knowing so many things that surprise us.
Sunshine you are becoming an amazing beautiful young lady that your daddy and I could not be more proud. On days as today we are taken back and can not believe that our baby with a full head of hair is now seven years old. When our parents told us time will past quickly, we now know exactly what they were talking about. It really is just like a blink of an eye. Although my heart feels sadness missing my baby, it also feel so much joy. Joy to of had these wonderful blessings and looking forward to so many more. Happy Birthday Sunhine. Thanking the Lord for this amazing little girl our Sunshine~
