How we School our Toddler

Some of you have asked, How do you school your toddler? This post is for you. I personally call it, Toddler grade. While others may state their child being in
Pre-k or Preschool. Toddler grade for me really is just introducing our children to school. Encouraging them to use his/her hand-eye coordination (scissors, writing, painting, pasting, blocks, puzzles etc.)
There is also a lot of conversation and cuddle time in the book nook.
Looking at the photographs in this post you will find workbooks we use. Toddler` Trace, Paste and Cut. You don't have to have workbooks. A child can cut a line across the newspaper.
Pasting and tracing on any type of paper, even junk mail.

Another project you will see her using in this post are dry-erase books. LOVE them! Reuse Reuse Reuse.
She can trace, circle, color, wipe off and do it again.
A few other things Sweet Pea enjoys are easy access to her books , blocks, flash cards, toy animals and puzzles. We sing educational kid friendly songs and involving her in group studies.
Keeping foods at arms reach has been a plus as well...
I can still here my mother calling this, brain food.
Hope I answered a few questions for you. Here's to you on your schooling toddler!

What great ideas you have. You are so right that one of the advantages of schooling your own children is watching them advance and knowing when to move on to something new.

What a perfect way to have Sweet Pea part of the learning, and what fun, age-appropriate activities for her to work on!! I so enjoyed reading this post and seeing the fun photos, thank you so much for sharing!!

Thanks for sharing! My 3 year old is starting preschool this year, but I would still like to work on somethings with him at home as well. Great ideas!

this is great!! when my son was small we put together activity trays in the style of montessori to give him something active, that he had to use some thinking and coordination on when his sister was doing school.
