Where did the time go?

~LITTLE MAN~
Little Man will be ten years old in a few weeks. Surly I was just rocking him to sleep last week. How is it that ten years can feel like a few days? In ten more years he will be 20! A child growing in age is bittersweet. Bitter because, I miss that baby I once rocked to sleep. While exspressing my love for him and telling him about this big ol world. Sweet because I so enjoy the young man he has become. Each stage he pulls his father and myself through, have been a blessing. Filled with memories, laughter, joy and lessons learned. Little Man has a warm giving heart that loves the Lord. His prayer life has started strongly at such a young age. He is funny and smart. He still has a passion for animals, adding them to the homestead as the years pass. He's a nurturer. Nurturing animals and people. If it is Gods will, I see him with a full family. Enjoying marriage and fatherhood. Little Man being the oldest is the one that made us parents. Our first thoughts of him, changed us and gifted us in a way we never knew. God continues to gift us with each passing day we spend with our son!
~SUNSHINE~

Sunshine is now seven. Where did that time go? I can still look at her and see that little mess that enjoyed getting into mischief. Mostly I see a young lady approaching. I couldn't be more proud. Sunshine will be making her first Holy Communion this year. She loves the Lord, putting him first in many of  her words and actions. Although there are times she struggles as we all do, She is open to understanding her fault along with the will to do better. She is my cuddle bug, my side kick, my girly girl/tomboy. She is silly and smart. As I say to her daddy, she is wonderful! She brightens all of our days. Gods Amazing gift to us.
~SWEET PEA~
Now that Sweet Pea is three, her name could temporarily be changed to Sweet and Sour Pea. If you have had a three year old then you know just what I am talking about. She is full of independence, opinions, and demands. Well, I shouldn't say full. She is also filled with her Sweetness. The same sweetness that gave her the name, Sweet Pea. She tells me daily, You (da) the momma and I (da) the baby. I (low) love you momma, soooo much. Of course she melts my heart, even if she did just hide in her closet to cut her hair.
Yes, you see the new hair style. This came just after she cut her hair. I know I will look back smiling as I think of all the silly things she does. Just as I do when I think of the list of things her sister did at this age. I am thanking the Lord today for my beautiful Sweet Pea. She adds so much love and joy to my life. She too is Gods wonderful gift to us!
Thank you Thank you Thank you LORD for my blessings~

Your toddler hides in the closet to naughty things too?

Man, that just drives me crazy! Every day my Princess hides in the closet with something she is not supposed to have. Literally, every day.

I might be going crazy here.

So thank you, thank you for sharing this. It makes me feel like I am not the only one ;)

Don't you just love them though? It is hard to believe they can drive you nuts but you love more than life itself. :)

naww Happy Birthday Sweet pea! 3 year olds are bitter sweet dont you think? They still have those flashing moments of total baby sweetness but then they are also bordering on the independant 'I dont need mumma as much' stage. I felt like 3 was the turning stage of my baby not being so much my baby anymore. Happy Birthing day memories for you too mumma!!

Oh, the scissors in the closet! Must be universal. We have had that a few times too. One time directly in front of dad as he was cutting a brother's hair! Her hair looks adorable short.

Catherine,

Love how you captured her personality in each photo, especially her new haircut. I think everyones child has done that at some point, maybe not their own hair but another childs.
